I'm a Big Sister!  Dawson is here!  Dawson is here!

Hello. My name is Landry Nicole Edwards.  We are excited to welcome my new brother, Dawson Lewis Edwards into our family.  Welcome to our homepage. Thanks for stopping by.  Please take a minute and sign our new guestbook.

February 19, 2008.  Dawson Update!  My new brother, Dawson Lewis Edwards, was born at 7:53AM at North Kansas City Hospital.  Everything went great.  Mommy is a trooper.  She is recovering nicely from her Cesarean-section.  Dawson was 10 lbs 6 oz and measured at 21.5 inches (that's the same length I was, but I was only 9 lbs).  From the looks of things, daddy says Dawson will be a left tackle at Blue Springs High School someday.  Scroll down to see who my brother and I are named after.

Dawson had a great first day.  After crying for most of the first couple hours, he settled in and was really a good baby all day long and into the night.  He's eating real well which seems to make the nurses happy.  And when he's not eating, he's sleeping or pooping.

Either Wednesday or Thursday, he's going in for some procedure that I don't quite understand.  Circum-something.  All I know is that most of the boys cringe anytime it is mentioned in our room.  I hope it goes well.

Please sign our guestbook to welcome my brother Dawson.

February 3, 2008.  Dawson Update!  We are so excited about my brother joining the family in just a few days!  Everything is going smoothly so far.  Mommy is really tired and ready.  She has a Cesarean-section scheduled for the morning of Tuesday, February 19th at North Kansas City Hospital.  Unless he decides to come into this world earlier, he will for sure be born on that date.  Check my website for his photos after his birth.

Hopefully I will have more new pictures uploaded soon. Keep checking back.

Can you believe it? I am five years old now. Time sure does fly. It seems like only yesterday I was coming home from the hospital not knowing what to expect of my new parents. They thought I could do no wrong. Now I'm walking and talking (actually running and yelling) and getting into all sorts of trouble.  Click here to watch a video clip of one of my first successful attempts to walk.

So many things have happened in my five years. I've seen lots of volleyball and football. The girls on Mommy's team were so nice. I've seen several Mizzou football games.  I don't think it's a coincidence that since I've been born, the Tigers have gotten better and better.  My favorite song is "Fight Tigers".  I know all the words.  Go Tigers.

Click here to watch a video of me singing the Quadratic Formula Song that daddy taught me.

Most people say that I look like Mommy. But here's a picture where I look a lot like Daddy's baby picture. Click on the picture to see it bigger.

My health has been real good so far, which my parents are thankful for. I have gotten sick a few times, but for the most part I am a healthy kid.

Never heard the name "Landry" before? "Dawson" is kind of different too?  Want know where mom and dad came up with the names? When mom and dad got married, dad was able to talk mom into letting him name their children after football legends. Now do you know where the names came from? That's right, I'm named after Tom Landry, the legendary coach of the Dallas Cowboys (left).  And Dawson is named after Hall of Fame Quarterback, Len Dawson of the Kansas City Chiefs (right).  Even our dog is named after a football legend.  Her name is Montana (below)...we call her Tana for short.

My Mommy's name is Mendy and my Daddy's name is Sterling.  Mommy recently resigned her head volleyball coaching position at Excelsior Springs and is now coaching volleyball at Liberty Middle School (she is still teaching at ESMS) and Daddy is coaching football and teaching at Blue Springs High School.  After 2 years of being told that purple was bad, I have now learned to like purple. Go Wildcats!

My grandpa and grandma Sapp's names are Papa Ron and Mama Belinda, respectively. My grandpa and grandma Edwards' names are Papa Ralph and Nana Joan.

I have 3 great-grandparents: my great-grandma and grandpa Edwards and my great-grandma Clark (I call her "Grandma Boo-Boo").

Daddy and Papa Ralph went to the Border War at Arrowhead this year and saw Mizzou whip Kansas 36-28.  Click here for photos from the game.

Check back often for updated pictures. Thanks for stopping by.
